TrainersI owned my first German Shepherd Dog in 1990 and have been in love with this breed ever since. I owe my love of dogs and wanting to help families enjoy their polite pets, to my first GSD, VAVALDI. My six GSDs all have their CGC and have graduated from intermediate obedience. I have gone on with several of my dogs gaining competitive experience in the Conformation Ring and at Obedience Matches.
Since 1992 I have participated in rescue work in both California and Texas working with the Humane Society, local shelters, veterinarians and rescue groups. I'm a volunteer Foster Home for the Second Time Around Aussie Rescue Inc. to assist in evaluating & training for suitable placement of these lovable dogs into permanent homes. To keep my skills up to date I attend dog training workshops and conferences each year learning positive methods of training such as clicker training, shaping, targeting and the studying dog behavior. To further expand my knowlegde of other sports I have also participated in a few tracking and herding workshops. I have publish articles in the WGSDC Texas Metro Newsletter. I'm also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Inc. (APDT) and American Dog Owners Association, Inc (ADOA).
Rose Ingram - Trainer
She has conducted classes and private lessons in Terrell, TX for over five years. She owns seven German Shepherd Dogs and trains them in various disciplines. Rose has been training dogs for over 10 years. She has titled dogs in Conformation, Obedience, Herding, and Therapy, which requires an aptitude for understanding the canine mind and their natural ability. Educating the canine requires not only time and patience but also the ability to evaluate each canine student's temperament, personality, strengths and weaknesses according to the training discipline.
She also attends yearly workshops and seminars to stay current on training skills. She is president of the White German Shepherd Dog Club International and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Inc.
