| SAMMIE (SAMANTHA) | Cutie pie - pics @3mth & 14mths - Young Female Lab Mix Born Mar-Apr 2006 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Sammie made her way to my property from the cornfields where somebody dumped this gentle little sweetie. She was all of about 6 weeks old and covered in tick and fleas. She must have heard my dogs barking and was smart enough to make her way to my home. I found her butted up against my fence lying next to one of my dogs on the other side. She is doing great now. She is a very calm dog and does very well with the other dogs and can keep herself entertained as well. She just loves her crate and hasn't had one accident in her crate since I have had her. Since she was young I wanted to keep her around my dogs for social/pack imprinting. To adapt better to her adoption she will need to go into a home where there is another dog and more of a calm environment. She could take awhile to bond to her new family do to her trauma as a young pup. She will be current on all her shots and heartworm prevention. Requesting a $200 adoption fee to cover a little of the expense to make her a healthy happy pup. She has been spayed and full shot records, medical history along with tags will be provided. You don't want to miss this one she is smart, gentle and can be a little Tom Boy if she finds a muddy spot. She is also very confident around other dogs and won't let anyone push her around but is respectful. She is fine with cats. |

| DORY | Approx DOB Sept 19 2003 - Female Lab/Hound Mix | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
This smiley girl was dumped with her siblings (5 brothers) and left for dead out in the country at about 12 weeks of age. As you will notice she is obviously a hound/lab mix. Very smart girl with strong hunting instincts at least with some rabbits that have gotten into the yard. She knows how to sit, down, is housebroken and crate trained. All her brother have found wonderful homes and now it's Dory's turn. Requesting a $200 adoption fee to cover a little of the expense to make her a healthy happy pup that will have their full shots with rabies certificate & tags. She is also spayed. Born about Oct 2004. She will lean towards the calm side of a hound but has her bouts of playfulness. She listens very well and responds well to training, plays well with other dogs and seem very confident in nature to adults and children. Very calm in the house and doesn't seem to mind cats either. She will upon greeting a new dog try to be boss them at first, but that seems to fade away in a few minutes and then it's all about play. She does like to lay on top of her crate and on the patio table. Might have some agility potential with some of the things I've seen her do. One adorable habit she has is when I put the bucket of toys up on the table so I can mow. Then when I'm am promptly done mowing she will get up on the table and get all the toys out of the bucket for the other dogs. Dory ........Petite Dory is so sweet. She tugs on your heart strings and a bit of a little athlete. |

| BUDDY | ADOPTED APRIL 2010 - He has found a great home | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Buddy was found wondering the cornfields with a lab friend after some storms. He seemed to be in good health. He is current on all vaccinations. Very nice neutered male about 3 years. Knows how to sit, plays well with other dogs. His favorite game is fetch with his rope toy. He will even entertain himself by tossing it in the air and catching his rope. He will bring the rope to you and drop it or toss it up to you to catch in your hands so you will throw it for him. He has some energy outside but seems to calm down quickly once in the house. Buddy is better suited in a home with adults and young adult children. He tends to get attached to his owners and a little protective of his adults when very small children are around, but with older children it doesn’t seem to be an issue. Seems like he might have been a housedog part of the time. Buddy really prefers to be outside at times except in extreme heat or cold. During feeding time he is more then willing to come in for creature comforts. Sometimes you just need to go and get him to bring him inside then he settles right in. This is really the only stubborn thing about him otherwise just a terrific dog. Requesting a $200 adoption fee to cover a little of the expense of vet cost and care to keep him healthy. Will have full shots with rabies certificate & tags before adopting. He does fine with cats. Buddy........Black and white border collie / pointer maybe aussie mix (pictures coming soon)
